Privacy Policy

CleanMyApple is designed to perform file analysis and cleanup locally on your Mac — the contents of your files, and what's on your storage, are never sent anywhere. We only collect the minimum information required to sell and support a license.

Data we store

• Your email address (to send your license key and for support)
• Your phone number, if collected during checkout by our payment processor, Razorpay
• Your license key, hashed — never stored or logged in plain text after it's issued to you
• A one-way hashed device identifier for each Mac you activate on, generated on-device from a random installation ID plus limited hardware info — never a raw serial number or other identifier that could be linked back to your Mac by anyone else
• Basic activation/validation event logs (timestamps, app version, coarse IP address) kept only for troubleshooting and abuse prevention
• Your email address if you download the free app, so we can keep you posted about updates
• A coarse, IP-based location (country/city only — never a precise or GPS location) at checkout and free-download time, used only to understand where our customers are

Data we don't store

• Your card, UPI, or bank details — payments are processed entirely by Razorpay; we never see or store them
• The contents of any file on your Mac
• Raw hardware serial numbers or other directly-identifying device information

How we use it

Solely to issue and validate your license, email you your key and important account notices, and provide support if you contact us. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
